  • Can I take just one capsule?

    Asked by Reggie K. ·

    Answered by The Nutriens team

The label serving is two capsules, 20–30 minutes before bed, which gives you 10 mg of melatonin. If you'd like to start with less, ask your doctor what makes sense for you.

  • Will I feel groggy in the morning?

    Asked by Lena Y. ·

    Answered by The Nutriens team

Yes, that's our Sleep pair: Magnesium Foundation for calmer evenings, and Rest Balance on the nights falling asleep is harder. Rest Balance adds only 13 mg of magnesium. If you take any medication, check with your doctor before adding Rest Balance.

  • Is it okay during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

    Asked by Chloe N. ·

    Answered by The Nutriens team

Please don't start it without your doctor's okay. The label asks anyone pregnant or nursing to consult a physician before use.

Falling asleep is easier on the nights I need it

I don't take it every night, just when my brain won't shut off before a big day. Two capsules about 25 minutes before bed with a glass of water, phone in the other room, and I fall asleep so much sooner than I would otherwise. I take a daily medication, so I checked with my doctor before starting and got the okay. I wake up feeling normal, not foggy, as long as I give myself a full night. A bottle lasts me well over a month since I only use it a few nights a week.

    Reply from the Nutriens team

Phone in the other room is the underrated step. Thanks, Robin.

Works, but the dreams are vivid

Falling asleep is definitely easier. The dreams though! Really vivid, like movie-level. Not bad, just weird. They settled down after the first week or so. Docking a star for that first week.

    Lives in my dopp kit

I travel for work about two weeks a month and hotel rooms are rough for me. This lives in my dopp kit now. Two capsules 30 minutes before lights out and I'm not staring at the ceiling at 1am anymore.

Wake up fine if I give it a full night

I was worried about feeling hungover the next morning, since 10 mg is a lot of melatonin. What works for me: take it by 10:30, and only on nights I can get a full 8 hours. Then I wake up fine.

    Too groggy for me

Fell asleep fine, but I was groggy until almost 10am the next day, three nights in a row. I have to be sharp at 7 for work, so this doesn't work for me.

    Reply from the Nutriens team

Thank you for the honest review, Mark, and we're sorry those mornings were rough. Each serving has 10 mg of melatonin, and some people feel it the next morning, especially with an early alarm. Rest Balance works best on nights you can give yourself a full night in bed, and your doctor can help you work out what's right for your sleep. If it isn't the right fit, message us through our contact page and our 30-day guarantee will refund you. The Nutriens team

One capsule is my sweet spot

Two capsules was too much for me; I woke up foggy. One capsule works great and I'm clear-headed in the morning. Four stars because the full serving was a lot for me, but I'll keep buying.

    Finals week backup

I don't need it most nights, but during finals (grad student) it's what got me to sleep before 2am instead of lying there running flashcards in my head.

    My Sunday night routine

Using it with Magnesium Foundation as the sleep pair: magnesium every evening, Rest Balance on Sunday nights before the week starts. I asked my doctor first since I'm on a daily med. Sunday nights used to be my worst.

    Reply from the Nutriens team

Sunday nights are hard for a lot of people. Thanks for sharing your routine, Anthony.

Helps me fall asleep, but I still wake at 3

Falling asleep is easier. Staying asleep, not so much for me. Some nights I'm still up at 3am. Middle of the road.

    Reply from the Nutriens team

Thanks, Tiffany, that's a helpful detail. Rest Balance is made for the nights when falling asleep is hard, so it may not change much for middle-of-the-night wake-ups. If those happen often, it's worth a conversation with your doctor. And if Rest Balance isn't the right fit, our 30-day guarantee covers you: message us through our contact page. The Nutriens team
